H.Sueazawa Shihan who is one of the most important masters of Jo-do-Aikido and İai-do martial arts in the world was at Turkey.

Coming to Bursa and sharing his wisdom and experience with us, the Master visited Cappadocia, Ankara ( Gordion, Anıtkabir,) and Istanbul and had the chance to know Turkey and Turkish culture better.

Suezawa Shihan came to Turkey at the first time in 2002 as a guest of Uluyama and this year it was his seventh visit to Turkey because of his interest in Turkey and Turkish culture.

In the breakfast that took place after Sunday’s training session, in addition to our members, the parents of our members have also joined us and showed everyone that Uluyama is a big family....

Theere were a lot of attandents to class fo Suezawa Sensei who shared his İaido , Jo-do and Aikido (Bokken and Jo) information with us.

Spending the Feast of Sacrifice Holiday in the village of Rüstüye, Suezawa Shihan had the chance to observe the activities in the morning. Although they had not known us before, the villagers showed close interest to us and showed us how hospitable Turkish people are..

Prince of Japan Emperor Mikasa who is also an archaelogist has monitored very closely the excavation took place at Gordion, therefore Gordion was very interesting.

During the trip at Cappodocia, Suezawa Sensei said that he was amazed of Anadolu and wanted to come with his family again...

One of the most interesting moments of the visit was the Master’s warm conversation with the gendarmerie in one of the stone house.

Thanks a lot to Kamil from Göreme (the dog at the picture) to guide us in our trip in Göreme. He helped us a lot.
Among the places we have seen, we highly recommend you to to visit the underground caves in Cappadocia.
